I've been working out consistently for over a year now and still struggling with my weight. I started off doing walking/moderate jogging(leslie sansone), weight training(jari love), and interval training(barry's bootcamp) and just recently found jump snap. I thought this would be a good way to change things up a bit and maybe lose more weight by jump roping. I just never realized how difficult jump roping is or could be. I thought to myself, hey you've been working out for a while this should be fairly easy, boy was I wrong. I get winded so quickly by jump roping, it's not something you can do for an hour or so like weight training or walking/jogging. Because I'm new to jump roping but not new to exercise my question is this: can my body react(lose weight) to doing the modified version of the jump snap workouts? I do sweat and feel tired after doing the modified version but I don't know if I'm getting any kind of weight loss benefit from it. I do know that I struggled to lose weight during this period of consistent exercise because of my eating habits(I didn't change them in any way, I continued to eat exactly everything and anything I wanted)I have now adopted a low carb diet which has helped me shed about 10 pounds. any help or personal stories of how you've lost weight and maintained it by doing jump snap would be greatly appreciated.
