Smart Snacking!

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry that I have not posted in a while. I have been so busy this spring with teaching clients, workshops, certifications and travel. When I am this busy, I have to really stay focused on having healthy snacks readily available. One health rule I live by is: never full, never hungry and so I have decided to share with you some of the healthy snacks I rely on to stay energized through out the busy day.

1. WASA cracker topped with Almond Butter, a drizzle of honey and sliced strawberries.

2. I love the small sized Dannon yogurt and the FAGE greek yogurt with the side of fruit.

3. Mozzarella stick wrapped with prosciutto or ham. (make sure to have plenty of water as this snack has a bit more sodium in it.)

4. Dried fruit & nut combo's. I keep raisins, craisins, dried apricots and prunes mixed with almonds, pistachio's and cashews in small portion baggies in my purse to prevent low blood meltdowns.

5. Sliced apple and cottage cheese

6. Edamame. I love munching on edamame while I am preparing dinner.

7. Sliced veggies and hummus.

8. Rice crackers and laughing cow cheese.

9. Treat! Laura's Wholesome Junkfood Cookies....Yummm!

I hope some of these idea's inspire you to try some smart snacking options.

Happy Jumping!

Tressa
