Hi everyone, I am a huge fan of the fast food restaurant, Chipotle. I love the freshness of the food and can not get enough of the chips and guacamole - yummy! I typically go in and choose what I believe to be healthy options. My favorite "healthy option" is the burrito bol filled with rice, black beans, chicken and tomato and corn salsa. Notice that there is no chips, no guacamole, no sour cream, no cheese and certainly no added dressing. This meal is full of flavor even with out the favorite additions. Then I took a look on www.chipotlefan.com to get a calorie count on my "healthy option." Drum roll please.... 730 calories 23 grams of fat and 15 gram of fiber (all the beans). If this is the healthy option, I can not even imagine what the fully loaded burrito or salad has. Now, don't get me wrong. Just because the calories and fat are high does not mean I have to pass on one of my favorite places to eat because it is all about MODERATION! If I exercise, eat healthy meals and snacks then this chipotle meal is just fine, especially if I eat only 2/3rds of the portion, which is plenty enough for me. Another great site for on the go calorie counting is www.chowbaby.com and www.calorieking.com Healthy & Happiness, Tressa
