Who works out on Memorial day weekend? 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm looking for someone to kick by butt into gear. Memorial day weekend is full of hamburgers, hot dogs and beer. How do I stay on track?

for me, I just enjoy the party and start off brand new the next day and do some damage control. I have to admit, the scale is my best friend(I'm a numbers gal)it actually keeps me in check. when I see the scale moving up I know that I need to slow down(on the food that is) and kick up the exercise.

That's a great date! It's my birthday
I understand your reasoning - it makes sense that people would like to have a long weekend in case they have to travel to your wedding - then they wouldn't have to take off of work. Some people may have their memorial day traditions, that they may have to sacrifice or adjust for one year - so what?! You're getting married - if you're important to them, then they will come & shouldn't mind sacrificing a day at the pool or cabin or whatever to enjoy your big day with you. Maybe make sure that you send the save-the-dates extra early, just so people will have plenty of time to make arrangements or adjustments to their plans if they have to.

Also - I think it was really rude of your coworkers to respond in that way. It's your wedding day - how selfish is it that they would make you feel bad about "ruining" their plans. It's only Memorial day, it's not like it's Christmas or anything. If people throw a fit & decline, then don't sweat it - the important people will be there for you & anyone that doesn't come, just means less cost for you
