I always heard the tip that you should drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. I thought, sure, during the summer when I'm outside and running around that's great, but most of the time I get plenty of liquids. But I was wrong. This winter I have been feeling very tired and always run down. I started thinking I had a real problem (it can be a sign of very serious problems). What I realized was that I was mildly dehydrated all the time. I'd have a couple cups of coffee in the morning, a diet coke (maybe 2) for lunch and then a glass of water in the afternoon. Totally not enough.
I found a lot of sources online that corroborated this. The best formula i found was divide your body weight in half and that is how many ounces of water you need a day.
I've been drinking more water for a about a week now and it has made such a difference in my energy level.
